Life is messy.
Its not a stack of newly laid paper in a dustless room.

No, its a room full of waste baskets, books and half chewed pencils. Paper balls all over the floor and haphazard stacks of half written/scribbled out experiences.
Somewhere in all that mess though, is a decently organized prologue, epilogue, or chapter that makes up a small reflection on your character.
